But the car is finally where it ought to be! Safe, clean, and dry.
Also I am the worst at car washing. I take forever and I miss all kinds of shit. Next time, I’m taking it through a drive-thru.

My wife saw the reply I made to you about changing her car for a sx4.
I caught her looking to see how much her Elantra is worth. I also started looking at 2010 and up manual awd sx4s.

I had a 2003 AWD Vibe. Apart from it needing new control arms, control, arm bushings, wheel bearings, a drive shaft, drive shaft bearing, a new fuel tank, engine mount, and lots of rust. Sold it to some idiot for as-is $1200.

Yeah... Early ones are a little spooky. Especially with the excessive oil consumption problems... that’s why I held out for the latest MY I could. Hoping those bugs got worked out overall.

The previous owner treated it a bit rough. Mine did not burn excessive oil. The engine & transmission was totally fine. It was a great commuter, just a bit hard on fuel being AWD.

Iirc, here in the states they only did AWD for the Vibe for 2 years because it didn’t sell. Kind of ahead of its time in hindsight now, eh?

I know they sold the AWD Vibe in Canada until its death in 2009.
